We're all Winners Here

All of us, except for those of you who lost, meaning most of you. On the other hand (or shall I say, collarbone) shall be found this necklace. And the especially lucky collarbone of which I speak belongs to @Julinthesky.

Congrats girl.
Thanks to all who sabotaged their personal twitter feeds as well as their hickey-free neck integrity all in the name of the democratic distribution of style.

Just dollin' it out like Sandy Claus

As if you haven't been ambushed from behind and then ratatap-tapped on the head repeatedly about the significance of the forthcoming Hurricane Sandy in our collective "things that are pop-culturally significant" cognition, I come bringing yet another piteous play on words with my "Sandy Claus" self-proclamation in lieu of the fact that I would like to take this opportunity to GIVE YOU FREE SHIT. Which is likely the only reason you are reading this at all, isn't it, you greedy, materialistic bastards? Well fine then, I will shut up with my lame attempt at ironic charm and get to the climactic point.

Miss Cocotte just launched her campaign for her newest line, VERSUS, in which I pout and purr and do hopefully sexy things with my hips which were, in fact, mostly just awkward in practice.

POINT BEING: If you care to look up yonder, you shall see a fancy lil' necklace that I will give to you if you succeed at proving yourself worthy.

Critical factors of Worthiness:
1) Comment below with your name & Twitter handle.
2) Follow me and Miss Cocotte on Twitter goddamit.
2) Extra entry if you tweet this: @FoodH20Fashion x @MissCocotte Versus necklace contest offers post-hickey-hiding insurance. Enter http://www.foodwaterfashion.com/2012/10/just-dollin-it-out-like-sandy-claus.html

Get on it peoples. You have until FRIDAY NOVEMBER 2nd at MIDNIGHT, at which point Sandy Claus will swoop down your chimney with gale-force winds and generosity to boot. The fat man in red meets the hormonal elemental phenomenon and somehow, your neck gets better looking in the process. Life is rough, eh?

Photo Diary: A Facial Repertoire

Top: Zara / Hat: American Apparel DIYed / Jewellery: Miss Cocotte

You may or not care (For your sake I hope that you tend towards the latter, because there are, at this very moment, intrinsically thoughtful questions like this being asked which NEED answers), BUT, these are some of the happenings that have been, in fact, happening in my life as of late, in professional and novice photo-graphical form and curated through a storyline of facial expressions.

Happening #1: (See above) Introducing: The Toothy Face. In all of its bicuspid and incisor glory, making its appearance for the upcoming jewellery collection campaign for Montreal jewellery designer, Miss Cocotte. More profesh photos to come styled by me and Josée Gagnon, make-upped by Joanie Lapointe, and shot by Michel-Éric Gauthier.
Jacket: Travis Taddeo / Top: Complex Geomoetries / Jewellery: Miss Cocotte / Shoes: Alexander Wang
Happening #2: I made a lot of serious faces in Old Montreal. A class-mate asked me why I always look so mad once. Clearly, I was just channelling my inner austerity and inherent bitch-face capabilities for this shoot by Paul Steward Photography. For more information, and a step-by-step tutorial on bitch-facing, click here.

Happening #3: Marie and I stood on my roof and made a virtual spectrum of varied facial expressions, starting with what could be most accurately described as the despondent puppy dog face...
Followed by the "I ain't got no face."
Narratively-peaking with that stupid face where the camera catches you mid-blink a.k.a. mentally-impaired.
Then came the denouement or the one "where I understand if you just want to punch me in the face" face.
Rounded up with the conclusively-appropriate and sickeningly irritating Happy Face.
Mesh Top: Vintage / Shoes: Ash / Hand-Held Dead Animal: Vintage
So in conclusion - well, there is no conclusion. This whole thing was a total waste of your time.
Reporting live, I'm Lisa of Food Water Fashion, bringing you up to the minute stupidity and ongoing narcissistic materialism. You are very, very welcome.

Even More Sexual References in The Backroom: Launch that Party

The Backroom launch party came and went last Thursday night, and now you can all look forward to the culmination of this two week-long barrage of sexual innuendoes (courtesy of yours truly) and inside jokes understood mainly by me and.....well, me. But fear not, there will be more business (and by business, I mean bizNASS) transactions between me and the ladies of The Backroom where my quips about quickies in closets will likely only become more blatant and you, my readers, more offended. Don't you love it when everyone wins?

Well here you have it, visual documentation of the improper affairs that went on in the back. There was beer from the Burgundy Lion, bubbly, bubbly girls, Miss Cocotte, photography by Vanessa Boyce and Mick Sand, bracelets by Meliza, African print clutches by Nabila, a Denis Gagnon dress, cropped tops, short shorts, high heels, and physically hazardous neck attire.

And even if you weren't apart of the sexy times launch party, The Backroom will be hosting a bow-tie-making bonafide BONANZA this Saturday, May 12 from 10am-6pm where you can get all riled up on free coffee and even more riled up about the prospect of wrapping your neck in a giant, aggressively pronounced bow.

Rachel, Karen and Marie are The Backroom babes

So what lesson have we learned kiddies? Get to The Backroom, even if you're not getting any. They have detachable collars and unisex bow-ties, which ARE clinically-proven aphrodisiacs and after whose purchase you will all unanimously exclaim that it is, in fact better, even best, in the back. Case closed.
